ABOUT MIKE OLENICK

Mike Olenick is a Columbus based filmmaker and artist interested in cinematic deconstruction, optics, photography, movies, memories and murder. His films have alternated between epic found footage edits and perverse live-action narratives (that take the form of karaoke videos, space operas and psychosexual thrillers). He has exhibited his films internationally and they have won awards from numerous festivals including Ann Arbor, Chicago Underground, Haverhill and Cinematexas, as well as from the Ohio Arts Council and the Greater Columbus Arts Council. He is currently developing a series of experimental horror and sci-fi films that explore identity and transformation.
